Transfer 1, week 5: General Conference, Mexico City Temple again, and Food Poisoning!

Well, the time has come to finally leave the CCM. I have exactly five days left before I leave to report to the Texas Houston South Mission. I am so very excited. I know that this gospel is true and I want to share that knowledge with others because I know how much happiness it can bring to their lives.

As a great send off gift many of us have been very sick here. My entire district hasn't been together for more than 5 hours this week which is very sad since we will be leaving one another in just a few short days. A scripture that describes us very well right now is, 1 Corinthians 11:30, "Many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep." Thankfully I was never as sick as the Elders in my District but I was told by the Doctor here at the CCM to go and rest on Monday so that I could kick this stomach virus more quickly. My rest became two, 3 hour naps. I was also given a Priesthood blessing by two of the Elders who were feeling alright that day. I can testify of the power of Priesthood blessings. There is no way that I could have gotten over so quickly what ever it is that has been going around. Most people have been sick for at least 2 or 3 days. I was able to fully recover within one day. I am so grateful that these young men are worthy to hold such marvelous power. The priesthood is the power and the authority that men can hold, if they are worthy, to act in the name of God for the salvation of His children. I am grateful that we live during a time when this priesthood power and authority has been restored to the Earth and our lives can be blessed by it.

Today, I have the opportunity to attend the Mexico City Temple. This will be our second and last time. It is such a great way to begin and end my time here at the CCM. I'm a little sad that I won't be able to send pictures of my time there later today but I will be sure to include them in my next email.

I absolutely loved General Conference! It was especially great to watch Conference here at the CCM! For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to watch the all of the different sessions I would really encourage you to do so, as soon as you can. Or if you did, go back and watch and read the talks over again. Begin with a prayer and watch or read the talks with questions in mind. I promise that if you do these things and write down the thoughts and the impressions that you have while watching, that your questions will be answered and you will receive a witness of the Spirit that the things being taught are of God.

I testify that we are all Hijos de Dios! Dios nos ama!

Love,

Hermana Yungfleisch
